The NCAA has released the pre-selection psych sheets for the 2026 Women's NCAA Division I Swimming & Diving Championships, following the conclusion of conference championship meets over the weekend. This initial release provides a glimpse into the swimmers' event choices, allowing for meet scoring and projections of the cutline. Official cutlines will be released on Wednesday afternoon. Notable entries include Claire Curzan (Virginia) in 100 back, 200 back, and 100 fly; Katie Grimes (Virginia) in 500 free, 1650 free, and 400 IM; Torri Huske (Stanford) in 50 free, 100 free, and 100 fly; and more. Stanford senior Torri Huske, the reigning NCAA champion in the 200 IM, has opted not to defend her title, choosing to race the 100 free instead. Michigan junior Bella Sims, the 2024 NCAA champion in the 200 free, will race the 400 IM on Day 2. The Virginia Cavaliers are the top seed in all five relays, and other defending champions include Curzan in the 100 and 200 back, Lucy Bell (Stanford) in the 200 breast, and more. The selection process involves automatic bids for conference champions who meet the qualifying standard, followed by additional swimmers ranked by their times until the entry cap is reached. The 2026 Women's NCAA Championships will take place from March 18-21 at Georgia Tech's McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta.
